ReachSoft's Fax facility
You can generate and send faxes to potential customers using a fax messaging product called ReachFax that automatically connects with RMS.

When you run a fax merge you:

  1. Use the search facility within RMS to perform a search and produce a list of targeted companies that you can use for a fax merge.
  2. View the results of the search and select specific companies to which you want to send a fax.
  3. Start ReachFax to create and send the faxes.

With ReachFax you can also fax attachments along with a message, such as a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet. You need to complete the following steps before starting ReachFax in order to send an attachment.

  1. Start your application, such as Word or Excel.
  2. Open the document that you want to send as an attachment to the fax.
  3. Select the File menu and then the print option to display the print dialog.
  4. Select ReachFax from in the Printer drop-down list and click on the OK button. A menu is displayed.
  5. Select the Special Fax option from the menu. A dialog box is opened in which you can name and then save the document as an attachment. The attachment is saved as a file that can be used by ReachFax when you send your fax.
  6. Click on the OK button to print.
  7. Close your application.
When you start ReachFax, during your faxmerge the attachment automatically appears for you to select.
